Forum Rules

Post by Mike Hynes » Thu Dec 04, 2008 12:24 am

I would be grateful if you would make some time to read these Message Board rules:

• This forum is intended for the use of members of Amersham Photographic Society (APS), providing them with a platform from which to express their views or to contribute items of interest to the APS membership in general.
Non-members are most welcome to read the forums but are not entitled to contribute to them.

• Posts (messages) express the views of their author, which are not necessarily the views of APS.

• APS is not responsible for the content of any of the messages. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message

• Please review what you have written before clicking “Submit” & ensure it adheres to the following principles:

1. Respond to someone's argument, but don't make derogatory comments about the person themselves. What might be intended as a "joke" may not be read that way by other forum users.

2. Don't use offensive or swear words, even if disguised with other characters. The content should be acceptable & appropriate for all, including children and the old-fashioned.

3. Try to ensure that your posts make sense by reading them first.
Spelling and punctuation don't need to be perfect, but posts do need to be comprehensible if they are to be of interest to everyone.

4. It is a condition of using this forum that you do not post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, or invades a person's privacy, or violates UK law. Posts must not directly or indirectly promote any illegal activity.

5. Commercial advertising on the forum is not accepted.

• Anyone who feels that a posted message is objectionable is invited to contact the APS Webmaster (see “Contact Us” on the APS website). If we agree with the objection, it will be removed as soon as possible.

• Posts that we feel are offensive in general, or directly attack an individual, will be removed.
Persistent offenders and anyone felt to be unsuitable, or who posts unsuitable or unwanted items will be removed from the message board’s membership.

• You must not post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you.

• The decision of APS's moderators is final.
