How can I put an image into a forum?

Post by Mike Hynes » Tue Nov 02, 2010 1:50 am

Question: How do I put an Image into a forum; cutting & pasting doesn’t work?

Answer:
Start a new topic;
Write any text that you wish to put into the message;
Make sure that the image (use a JPEG) is less than 1000 pixels by 1000 pixels - If it’s even 1 pixel greater than this, the forum will refuse to accept it.
Upload the image as an attachment (Use the 'Upload attachment' tab towards the bottom of the screen);
When you can see that it has been uploaded, click on the button 'place inline';
Finally, click on 'Submit'
When you see the image, click on it & it should appear full size.
Good luck!

Remember that you can always edit your own messages if you want to.

Also, if you have a Flickr (or similar) account, you can put a link to pictures there, as David Pearson did for his Vosges image.
